Melabev Beit Shemesh, located in the heart of Givat Sharett, Beit Shemesh, has, over
the years, developed a unique relationship with the Beit Shemesh community, which
has dramatically enhanced the level of care we can provide to the seniors attending
our day center. Our seniors participate in many programs with the community,
including intergenerational activities that are mutually beneficial and rewarding for all participants. A team of volunteers gives support within the day center and in the
community.
The daily activity schedule includes a wide range of therapeutic, cognitive, and
physical activities, such as music, dance, art, cooking and baking, chair yoga,
occupational therapy, and memory exercises. Provided daily are round-trip
wheelchair-accessible transportation and nutritious hot meals. Individualized
therapeutic programs are designed for each client to suit their language, needs, and
cognitive and physical ability. Our services also extend to support groups and
guidance for family members and caregivers.
